Could Your Social Media Footprint Step On Your Credit History? [Response]

The FICO credit score is probably one of the most influential scores that isn’t controlled by you taking a test. Instead, you earn this score by how you use your money in the United States. This is considered a measure of your ‘creditworthiness’. This article talks about how you act (who you follow and what you post) on social media may affect your FICO score. I think this is interesting because everyone should be mindful of what they put on the internet, especially social media. Because of this article, do you think your habits about how you act on social media may change?

I barely use social media but when I do I just write things in fragments about anything that comes to my head. I believe that what I put on social media should not have anything to do with money and how I spend it. To some it up I would not change how I act on social media.

  3. This should be ehh looked into but not a depending factory. Everyone online does at least once looks up random things on the internet. Social media shouldn’t be looked into heavily. People break in and actually troll people along with the account owner just posting up idiotic stuff.

I don’t think that we should have to worry about how we act on social media deals with our credit score. I believe this because our personal behavior shouldn’t conflict with decisions we make with money.

I think it seems like they are just trying to create any reason to hurt peoples credit. I cant see how it is so easy to mess up peoples lives

Whatever we put on social media should not have to effect anything about our credit score at all. Its your own social life and it should not make disadvantages on you to make your own money or just work.

I am not to sure about how social media may affect your credit score. It all depends on what you are posting on social media and if it’s appropriate or not.

I believe this is anything to have in mind. What people say or do on Social Media should never determine on your credit and its history. They are personal things that you may not want to be informed by others let allow determine you, that you will or will not be accountable for a certain amount of money.

  10. I don’t think it makes sense for a FICO credit score to change because of what we post on social media. What we post is what we post, it shouldn’t have anything to do with our social media.

People are so ignorant nowadays that it is a shame. And the sad part about it is, is that most of them will never grow. It’s reality. What you put up on social media will always be there. Be mindful of what you do and say because it will definitely come back to haunt you.

And no matter what, everything counts for you and against you. Social media is nothing but keeping a close eye on people. If only people knew and will LISTEN.

Social Media is all about what you post and what share with people according to how how you feel, as well as your emotions. I’m really not understanding how social media will effect your credit score.

I also disagree, it is not right for your social media which is your personal life to affect your credit score. Social media is what your life, emotion, personality and your credit score has nothing to do with that

Social media is a way for people to express themselves online and through people. I heard about it affecting your Job when you go to apply and they check your Facebook and see if your a good look for them. That to me is the only way it can affect your Credit score. Its sad but it makes sense.

  19. What you put on social media shouldn’t affect your score because people can act a completely different way on social media than what they’re actually about so if you judge them based off of a score it kind of seems dumb and childish.

I don’t think what you put on social media should affect your credit. Social media has nothing to do with your credit. I think because of this people would change what they do and out on social media though.

I don’t think credit score will affect what I put on social media because i’m expressing my opinions and what interest me as a person. Also it’s social media, so their will be many people writing about what they find interesting.

I don’t think that it is fair for social media to effect somebody’s credit score. Somebody should be able to be themselves on social media without if effecting their credit score. I think somebody’s actual financial stability should effect their credit score.
