Rationale:
Throughout several teaching environments I have used and administered Professional Development Sessions about PowerSchool. PowerSchool is software used for tracking student progress via grade management, among other things. It has a teacher interface that enables instructors to create assignments, control the percentage each assignment is worth, etc. It also has a students/parent interface that enables students and parents to view grades real-time. As an Instructional Technology Specialist I recommend PowerSchool or another Student Information System to bridge the gap between parent, student, teacher and administrator.

Rationale:
These links are used by the faculty of Junior class students in order to identify any challenging areas that may impact learning. These forms are linked to spreadsheets that I monitor for changes in behavior, attitude, or grades that may affect future academic success. Subsequent to a change in the aforementioned students characteristics I bring information to the Support Team at Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia Charter School to discuss further observation to better serve our student population.
